Electrical Firmware/Software and Hardware CPLD/FPGA Design Engineer:

Stuck in a pile of paperwork? Is all your time spent on maintaining ancient designs? Here's your chance to get in on the ground floor of a new design! We're looking for a creative embedded design engineer to take on a new motor amplifier design. Do you invite a challenge? We're looking for an engineer that doesn't just produce a solution, but multiple solutions and is able to articulate the benefits of each one. This is an exciting opportunity to exercise your CPLD/FPGA firmware/software skills. We're looking for the best and brightest engineer that Southern California has to offer.
Primary responsibilities:
· CPLD/FPGA design.
· Analog (OP Amps, current Sensors, A/D, D/A, etc.)
· Digital (advanced DSP design)
· Power Circuits (PFC, Three Phase Inverters, etc.)
· Perform schematic design and assist in layout.
· Create and carry out qualification and acceptance tests of prototypes
· Participate in design specifications creation, design reviews, production and field failure analyses.
Must-Have Qualifications:
· Minimum BS in electrical engineering.
· High performance servo amplifier design.
· Power electronics and switching circuits.
· Motion control techniques.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in design of electronic circuits.
· Must be bright, motivated, and creative.
· Must have proven CPLD/FPGA skills.
· Must be proficient with at least one schematic capture tool (e.g., P-CAD, ORCAD).
· Circuit design meeting CE and UL emission and immunity requirements.
· Program in C and assembly.
· Other drawing packages (Solid Works).
